Played for Celtics I believe. He was a consistent player for TN on some really bad teams

Steve is great. That bit he said about passing up shots in the first half was Madden-esque.

"Sometimes you pass up a good shot to get a great shot, you lose the opportunity to get that good shot and end up with a bad shot ... but he got a great shot there."

Steve is a great guy. We worked together at SunTrust 20 years ago and used to go to the Orange & White game together. Caught up with him at the Big Orange Caravan this year and he gushed about how good he thinks this team will be.

He’s always been a gregarious personality and that comes through on broadcasts. Really happy for him.

I think that Hamer was UT’s last true 7 footer until Uros. #4 of only 5/6. Tom Boerwinkle. Len Kosmalski. Bob Brykalski. Steve Hamer. Uros Plavsic. Several just missed 7’. I think that Doug Roth was 6’10” or 6’11”. Aidoo might now be 7’.
