Steve Jobs To Obama: You're A One-Term President

"You're headed for a one-term presidency," he told Obama at the start of their meeting, insisting that the administration needed to be more business-friendly. As an example, Jobs described the ease with which companies can build factories in China compared to the United States, where "regulations and unnecessary costs" make it difficult for them.

Jobs also criticized America's education system, saying it was "crippled by union work rules," noted Isaacson. "Until the teachers' unions were broken, there was almost no hope for education reform." Jobs proposed allowing principals to hire and fire teachers based on merit, that schools stay open until 6 p.m. and that they be open 11 months a year.

I know kids won't be voting for the Steve Jobs schools plan.

That would've sucked for those who played sports.

Jobs: Be more business friendly or you'll only be a one term president.
Obama: (fingers in ears) I can't hear you. I can't hear you. I can't hear you.
Jobs: What ev, nincompoop. (walks out of meeting)
Obama: I totally owned his azz in that debate. Some captain of industry he is.

This just shows you how far to the left this administration is. Jobs is a fairly liberal guy.

Heard on radio this morning that Jobs also turned down surgery and aggressive treatment that might have saved his life for 9 months so he could try rudebagas and broccoli in hopes it would just go away.

If rudebagas and broccoli had any remote chance of getting rid of cancer, Volnation members would have altered their diets a long time ago to get rid of you.

so that discredits his insight on the business atmosphere under this administration?

And further, story is that Jobs offered to work on Obama campaign but butted heads with Axelrod a ton and didn't think Axelord was "deferential" enough to Jobs' thoughts.

I dont think iit was any secret that Jobs was stubborn. I'm not sure how his stubbornness makes what he said any less true.

Alright, I'm sorry. It was supposed to be tongue in cheek. Don't get all emotional on me.

My response equally having fun, no worries.

Besides, you can't aggravate me too much today. Finally cooled off down here and its date night tonight, so I'm in a pretty good mood.

Fair enough. Just saying maybe he had a bit of an axe to grind with Axelrod. (Get it?)

In preparation for the dinner, Jobs exhibited his notorious attention to detail, telling venture capitalist John Doerr that the menu of shrimp, cod and lentil salad was "far too fancy" and objecting to a chocolate truffle dessert. But he was overruled by the White House, which cited the president's fondness for cream pie.

so LG, you think Jobs is wrong here? You think he is just bitter that Axelrod didn't give him any time? Did the same thing happen to Steve Wynn and countless other business people in the US?
