How far has he fallen that he cant even get a courtesy interview at the school he brought back from the brink?

His Tulsa teams were pretty good, he needs to get an offensive coordinator job and be successful before he'll get another head job.

He took a Louisville team that was at the top of the Big East and drove them into the ground.

Oh i know about U of L i live in louisville... i still cant figure out what went wrong I get mixed stories from those close to the program and around Trinity but it just amazing that he was one of the hottest coaches out there and he blew it.

I'm not completely sure what happened, but I'd say that the disaster in Louisville had a bit to do with Petrinio, not just Kragthorpe.

Did Kragthorpe have Malzahn when he was at Tulsa or was Gus there after Kragthorpe left?

Kragthorpe isn't getting courtesy interviews because he's a terrible coach who ran Louisville into the ground. How you can go 6-6 with the best QB Louisville's probably ever had when Petrino went 11-1 with him a year earlier is beyond me.

He apparently has some personal issues going on. From what I read that's why he stepped down from his job at A&M. Just because some idiot throws a name out that has some sort of ties to a certain school, and then every rumor website starts to report it, doesn't mean it's a done deal. These supposed "rumors" are getting ridiculous. If these rumorswere so solid, Gruden would be the head coach of every division I school that has had an opening since he left Tampa, Harbaugh would be at Michigan, Randy Shannon at Minnesota, Mike Leach at Maryland, Gus Malzahn at Vandy, etc etc.

That is a new one...

It would be because he has to kick off about 50% of Petrino's criminal lot.

Exactly. Arkansas' moment is coming. Probably sooner rather than later. Petrino may be the biggest piece of trash in all of college sports.

So how much of what happened to Kragthorpe at Louisville falls on Kragthorpe? I don't really know much about what happened.

Given who he is where from, once he knew the depth of the issues, he probably had no prayer of digging out. Strong, who has a bigger name and can recruit Florida, is better suited. Kragthorpe is a helluva guy and very strong football coach.

I'm not absolving him altogether, but it was a disaster from day 1.

As hat said, Arky has it coming.

He bears a share of the responsibility for not recruiting as well as he should have to plug the holes created when he cleaned house.

ya know I supported Kraggy at U of L. I kept hearing rumors of the issues and have to really come to the conclusion that he is to blame for the disaster. He didnt recruit very well and blaming Petrino can only buy you some time. Id say the Brohm's hate his guts as Brian probably would have been set for life if he'd left right after the orange bowl. The first indications that Krag was not going to fit in came the first summer practice when some of the Trinity alums said there were issues. Krags just never seemed to fit in and it would be hard to follow someone that had had the success of Petrino.

new offensive coordinator at LSU

I honestly don't know too much about him, other than that he had a bad tenure at Louisville

His contract is set up to where if it goes down then Petrino's going to have to go down with it....or Arkansas is going to pay him a lot of money.
