I would like to present this all to you. Today is the 30th anniversary of the death of the greatest distance runner America has ever produced, Steve Prefontaine. His records give me a great deal of pride as an Oregon native. Pre had an incredible and admirable competetive spirit, one that every person that calls himself or herself an athlete should model after.
