“Not suggesting Hooker is Burrow or Hyatt is Ja”Marr Chase (yet), but the 2022 Vols do have strong 2019 LSU vibes. They know you can’t stop their offense. Kentucky intended to blanket Hyatt yet he ran wide open on 2 long TD receptions . Herbstreit did a nice job showing how a subtle pre-snap shift by offensive coordinator Alex Golesh helped dupe Kentucky’s safety. Also notable: The swag seemed to rub off Saturday night to the less-respected defense.”

Getting Tillman fully back in the mix is truly scary for opposing defenses. Golesh will be a serious HC candidate at a P5 school. Hyatt has played himself up to a 2nd round pick at least to this point. Really works his tail off in all aspects (diet to add extra weight, weight room, extra study and practice). He was catching balls off the Jugs Machine later the night of the BAMA game.

Key to LSU success was their OC and Burrows, both moved on. I am hoping this staff stays around for at least a couple more years.
I think Tennessee's OC will be a candidate for the GT,Louisville and Missouri head coaching jobs.

I don't think the Tennessee program will collapse like LSU's did when Burrow left for the NFL
That's the biggest question at this time. Lots of talent will be gone after this season, hopefully, the guys moving up into starting roles can perform at the same high level. I'm encouraged by the play of Milton when he has gotten into the game. Seems like he has learned to put some touch on his throws when needed, and his deep balls are right where they need to be. Big improvement.

I think the comparison is valid. Lots of similarities. This team has worked awfully hard to be where they are. The opportunity is now squarely in front of them. It's UGA week. Living in the land of dawg, what I wouldn't do or give to beat that bunch of mutts come Saturday.

I believe that is a very real possibility. Go Vols!
