25 championship points and $25,000. Joe Gibbs was also fined 25 owner points. The article in todays paper said that Tony is in a riff with ESPN. He supposedly does not want to be interviewed by ESPN reporters and that is the why he did it.

Way to go Tony, he's one of the only people that doesn't let people influence what he does.

that's the sad thing, he doesn't realize there's thousands of kids watching him on TV, who look up to him and hear him pull that on national TV. he just doesn't get it.

Tony is the Charles Barkley of NASCAR.

just call him the 'Round Mound of Go Around'. wow. that was lame.

I weep for the children who had to hear a "bad" word. I bet they had to wash their ears out with soap.

Tony deserved it! Could have been worse. I remember when Dale Jr got fined and deducted 100 points for using a curse word. Of course, some kids at home have heard worse than what they hear on NASCAR.

Jr. had the same 25 points taken away, but only a $10K fine. Not that NASCAR would be completely consistent, but I guess Tony's tone was the difference?

since when do Stewart fans have to put up with that much bull**** anyway?? Im sure Gordon fans put up with much worse, and I cant even imagine what Mikey Waltrip fans go through :clapping:

and surely there are thousnds of parents watching with the thousands of kids that can explain to them that there are some things adults can say that children can't.

sorry, but parenting doesn't start with what their kids see on TV. it starts with the examples the parents set.

i seriously doubt some kid watching on Sunday will become a degenerate in society because he heard Tony Stewart cuss on TV.

Despain asked him about any hot news/rumors in the garage at Indy and he said, "Tell your buddy Michael tomorrow night that Toyota is kicking him to the curb and will sign with Joe Gibbs Racing."

I dunno, it doesn't sound as good typed out, but to hear a guy on TV say stuff like that is awesome. Robin Miller rules.

i'm about 50/50 with Robin Miller. sometimes i agree with him and sometimes i wish he'd get out of the 1970s.

my dad hates him.

he is certainly opinionated, and isn't afraid to step on toes, and i kinda like that.

Thats the truth! I guess Im terrible but my kids probally hear sh** on a daily basis. I just came from a family of potty mouths and its a habit thats hard to change!:whistling: Anyway, but my kids know what bad words are and that some grown ups say them and they shouldnt. Its no big deal. You turn on any daytime tv show and hear worse.

The guys on ESPN's show Pardon the Interruption, said that he was a bad role model for kids because he said he was gonna drink some beer after Chicagoland.

(but Jr said the same thing and it was ok)

Yeah, everyone picks on Stewart for some reason. I use to hate him when he was a rookie and his first couple of years, but I can't hate a guy like him. I put him right on my list behind Harvick, Jr, and Truex for favorite drivers. He's a funny guy that just doesn't put up with other people's crap.

couldn't have been Wilbon/Kornheiser. i just don't see those two guys saying that. besides, everybody knows that show is worthless without one of the two in that duo.
