this is where i got it from updated today....has us 10th behind Pitt...
I haven't watched Vol ball but I do know from watching the national scene that Tennessee has been virtually non-existant before this season. Pretty incredible.(utvolpj @ Feb 20 said:You should have been watching for as many years as a lot of us have. I expected another 5-22 season before a top-10 season. Like Freak has said in the past, I keep waiting to wake up from this season.
yeah, i'd of thought we'd of dropped further in the coaches poll? oh well...this is probably more accurate of where we should be anyway....somewhere between 9-13 in the country.....i don't think we're a top 8 team.....(orange+white=heaven @ Feb 20 said:Well now I understand. The list....

Has not yet been updated. They have put out the wire story though, which is what you have. The holiday is making everything wierd...

like you said in another thread....i think we get in as a 3 seed barring a debacle at the end of the season. could still see a two seed if we get hot again and make a run in the SEC tourney.
That about sums it up for most everyone on this board...bball talk until this year it seems has been reserved for the few Duke and UNC fans that roam here once and a while...(beamerman @ Feb 20 said:How funny that we are even talking about NCAA seeds? I for one was hoping to squeak into the NIT when the season began. I think we all need to enjoy this ride this year regardless of how far we make it. Let's just hope that someone on the football side can learn from this and hopefully grow a personality and make football fun to watch as it used to be. I don't know about the rest of you but it has been hard to watch UT football over the last few years and even harder to watch UT basketball. The losing of both was not the worst thing, it was that we were not even fun to watch. I have not enjoyed basketball since college and the days of Ernie and Bernie. What a breath of fresh air we finally have.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I sat through the bad football days in the 70's and great basketball and really hurt when they reversed. Now I can hope both programs make us proud. I also am glad my neighbor who is a huge Lady Vol fan cannot brag about how much superior the women's program is over the men's. I am a UT fan and will support all of them, but it sure is great to be able to hold up our end.(jakez4ut @ Feb 20 said:That about sums it up for most everyone on this board...bball talk until this year it seems has been reserved for the few Duke and UNC fans that roam here once and a while...
but you're right...it's been fun, regardless of what happens, and it will continue to be....especially since we CAN talk about NCAA seeds, and even be a little pissed off about losing a bball game here and there...it's better than the alternative, when we lost, and everybody was like, oh well.....
Good to have you on the board...enjoy...and as for football converstaiton....well, i think you'll find it "lively" to say the least....
