James Franklin kicked our a$$ with inferior talent at almost every position except RB and defensive secondary. Plus he can recruit. Has anybody seen Vandy's facilities? They pale in comparison to ours. Franklin beat us with inferior resources and now he's beating us in recruiting for next year. This man can coach...get him!

We don't like Franklin because he got in our face, didnt back down, and beat us with our handicapped stepchild.

not saying he wouldn't win here but just don't see it happening. personnaly would love to get Shaw at Standford think he would succeed big time here. Think he would come too if offered.

I like Shaw but West Coast guys just have a hard time fitting into our culture and way of life in the South in their personal lives.

I agree I think he would be a fantastic hire!! :good!:

He currently has a top 15 recruiting class and word is he was in the front row and in/around the locker at the State Title game tonight as Jalen Hurd broke a TSSAA State Title game rushing record with 394 yards he also had 7 TDs!!

Franklin got Kimbrow don't be shocked if reels in Hurd!!

Gerry DiNardo. Look him up on Google. A little more success than they are used to and a bit better recruiting, does not constitute a need for UT to hire a coach with no credentials as a HC before coming to Vandy. He sucked so bad at Maryland, he helped get his HC fired.

They beat us for the same reason KY beat us last year...lack of leadership at HC. This team had already given up on the season at that point. He's a first class pricht....and his comment that he "evaluates prospective assistants wives" nearly got him fired.

If I was able to get within arms reach of him, I'd try to knock his sorry arse out. That's how bad I can't stand the guy.

His comment is what 99% of ...what men think and the 50% of those of you that deny it are hypocrites.

1) DiNardo was not even close.
2) A "little" more success. LOL.
3) A "bit" better recruiting. LOL.
4) This isn't before coming to Vandy.

Give me actual, football reasons why we shouldn't consider the guy.

Why don't you speak for yourself? Did you do some sort of exhaustive research to come up with that percentage? No, you didn't. It's one thing to acknowledge an attractive woman as such. It's another matter to ogle over a married man's wife and have the audacity to state in public that part of your hiring decision is based on whether the guy's wife is hot or not. I'm sorry, but that IS NOT 99% of the guys out there.

That's a d!ck who needs his lights punched out. If I were one of the coaches and caught him groping over my wife, that's precisely what I'd do. And I wouldn't stop till until the Tooth Fairy got tired.

Physical violence equals a weak mind 99% of the time. I'm sure your wife in that position could shut him down without your help and walk away. if a guy gropes my wife I'm eating popcorn watching her reaction. If she wants it...go get it and don't come home. If not, she can shut him down and come home.

I have choice words for what exactly james Franklin is, but I'll avoid them and use the word d-bag instead. I wouldn't take him even if we were guaranteed to win the NC every here he was here. He can stay at Vandy for all I'm concerned.

I personally wouldnt be all that upset with Franklin. The bad thing is that if he turned UT down it would be the ultimate kick in the stomach.

Those that don't want Franklin can't give no legitimate football reason to not hire the guy other than they don't like him?

Vanderbilt went (8-4) this season. Currently has a top 15 recruiting class.

What if next season two or three seasons they win say another 7 to 9 or even 10 games and another Top 15-20 recruiting class each year? I could see that happening, I truly don't think this is the Vandy that was around when I was kid of the 80's & 90's!

Then what happens three or four years from now when Georgia or Bama etc... hire him? Because Richt & Saban ain't going to be there forever and they will eventually have to hire a new coach.

Let Franklin get a job somewhere and get that Vandy stank off him before we give him a shot.
