When will it be and will he be traveling with the Vols for the Memphis game?

Stokes' first game should be officially announced as J. Stokes Day.

So he can play his first game against Miss St. Then Kentucky two days later.

The first game he'll be eligible for is 1/12 @ MSU.

Stokes still has to clear the NCAA clearinghouse so I wouldn't assume anything yet. Hopefully there won't be an issue since Stokes is an honor student but with the NCAA you never know.

Would anyone else like to see him sit the Mississippi State game, and then come out and drop 40 on Kentucky? That'd be awesome.

I just hope he's not another Hopson.

No, I'd actually like a chance to beat Miss St.

Yeah, me too. Those 17 pts a game were miserable.

No. He isn't that good yet............Tobias wasn't either and should have stayed at least one more year.....

That's ridiculous, he was drafted in the first round, 15th overall. I wish he was still here so we would win, but there was no reason (other than the lock out) that he shouldn't have gone to the NBA

I can hear it now:

"Hey Tobias . . . We know you're a mid 1st round pick and we're undergoing a coaching transition and a rebuild, but we think it makes sense for you to pass on 7 figures and risk injury or your stock dropping so that you can come back and, play on a mediocre team and entertain everybody for free."

19th, not 15th. and to them it is a big difference, couple hundred thousand guaranteed difference.

I couldn't remember exactly, but the point is he was a first round talent last year. Probably not worth it to come back to a mediocre team with a new coach. Bigger risk than getting paid immediately

I may be wrong, but I think it is wrong for us to expect big things from Stokes. He is just a freshman. It will probably take some time for him to get used to the competition, etc.

Stokes is a great get for Martin and Tennessee, but I do not think he is going to make that much difference this year.

I think he will open up the rebounding lanes and contribute defensely....

lol @ Tobias making a bad decision by going into the draft. That's ridiculous. Anyone in his shoes would of jumped and not even thought twice about it.
