A star. We have a solid base for a team, but lacked star power. Stokes is going to give us that immediate boost that we need, and is the type of player who is going to step up and take control of the game when needed to. Now we cant put all of the pressure on him of course, but he is just what we needed at Tennessee and imo, the biggest pick up in Tennessee basketball recruiting history considering the turmoil with Pearl and stealing him out of Memphis as we did! This season should start to get a little interesting come January! Go Vols!

I sure do wish Tobias had stayed another year....Those two would've been wicked together.

"We walk by faith not sight," Stokes said.
I hope that doesn't mean he intends to play with his eyes closed.

I don't know if he will have immediate impact. I hope so, but it might take some time to get in game shape and fit in with the rest of the team. Don't expect too much at first. By February he should start to come on.

Stokes can coach?

Good one. Im not sold on Martin either, but considering the circumstances and with the start Tennessee basketball has had so far, landing a talent like Stokes is nothing short of amazing. Not to mention we stole out from under Memphis's fingers! He deserves some major credit for that, and ultimately made his job more secure with the addition of Stokes.

Stupid quote. Cuonzo is the only upside this team has, talent and youth is the problem.

not sure if serious?

on another note, Stokes will be a big help if he just rebounds and doesn't chase his man to the perimeter on defense like our other idiot forwards.

I mean we already don't pass the ball to Maymon who seems to score at will, especially against these mid-major teams. Why would anyone expect us the throw it into Stokes?
