Coach Bob Stoops on local radio shows in the Oklahoma area has been contacted by the GM of the Broncos.

Heard it on ESPN over the weekend. You have to think he would give it strong consideration. It is one of the better NFL jobs out there right now.

They look to be missing a few pieces but still I would agree one of the best jobs available in the NFL.

If he went, do you think he would be successful.

A lot of good college coaches have tried and failed.

I think Stoops might be tired of the red tape involved with the college game. That being said, I thought his patience was wearing thin two years ago.

Pretty good on the offensive side of the ball with Cutler and Marshall. They need a running back and with the zone blocking scheme teacher not around anymore I would think it will be hard for thme just to plug someone in.

Defensive side of the ball? Eh. They are old and bad.

In this rash(last 15 years)of college coaches sucking in the pros, I think if there is a NCAA coach that can make the successful transference...it's Bob Stoops.

A very good NFL job...an attractive situation in that miserable AFC west too.

College coaches usually aren't fortunate enough to take over a franchise in a position where it can win immediately. Especially one with a somewhat-established, young franchise quarterback in place. If Stoops really has an interest in testing himself at the game's highest level, this might be the best opportunity that will present itself.

Especially this year when the AFC's rep will be from the East, great time to reload and rebuild.

He's chasing Stoops and that's for sure. He's chosen the Denver golden boy and accepts no substitutes...well he may but no where near as much salary will be involved.

Denver is ok, I like that area of the country. Like the mountains, the national parks, CO, UT, WY, etc...
