I understand fully why we're in this position. But help me understand how UM has 2-3 stars who make our 2-4 stars look like community college players?

I don't think they win the East. SC only has Florida left; Missouri has Ole Miss, UK, and TAMU.

Tiny made his predictions ill make mine.....Auburn kills us.....candy beats us.....and we might beat KY on the road ......I said might! The SC win wasn't signature at all there over rated and GA was banged up real bad playing in a hostile crowd......we still suck

Could be because a lot of their talent is older than ours and they're just a better team with more depth.

Neither the head coach or this team is immune from criticism. This performance tonight was an embarrassment to the university and to the state of Tennessee.

Having said that, Butch has my full support. But if this kind of performance continues, he will be like Dooley, 3 and done. There is no excuse for punting the ball when you are behind the way we were. You make an attempt to win the game, even if the odds of winning are miniscule.

I doubt very many on here are giving up. But this a message board. Designed to communicate opinions about the team's and the staff's performance. Oddly enough, when UT wins, it'll more than likely be positive. When they seem to be regressing and playing very poorly on the way to being manhandled rather easily by a combined score of 76-13 in consecutive weeks.... probably gonna be negative.

This team is not improving. I'm currently feeling pretty damn frustrated, negative and critical regarding this team and have expressed it in numerous threads during the game. Not giving up, not wanting Butch fired, not hating our players.

Again, this is a message board.

I don't have an issue with heaping on the praise when it's warranted or being disgusted when the team lacks focus and effort.

understand the sentiment.....I will say....at first i had the same thought about punting...but given the situation and time...that last punt made sense....don't give them an another easy opportunity to score.....I thought about when I was in a similar situation as a player....during a bad season...against a better team that day...

No you have to pull it out and see how bad we are behind!! CBJ will need 2 more yrs with good recruits to be competitive. We just don't have SEC players across board. Come on man you see the difference. We ain't even close yet, but we will be!!! True fan or not, it's going to take time. We got 3 to win 2, and that's our goal!!! It is what it is.

First off, I still believe butch is the Guy to get us back. Its tough when you have players like Coleman and toney in the secondary, inconsistent pass rush, and lack speed.
With that said, we have enough to be more competitive than we were tonight. We looked unprepared, undisciplined, and the gameplan blew. Bad game, embarrassing actually, all around. Coaches and players.

Who cares if they get another "easy opportunity to score." Technically, you are still alive with a chance (albeit a remote one, to win). You have to take advantage of every possession when you are behind as much as we were.

I agree and disagree......there are area that are improving and area where they are struggling....the team and scheme can uncover things that weren't there....it actually even comes down to a player by player evaluation....not a team one ....gotta keep fightin.....I'm not happy during the game...but i'm not gonna die because of the outcome....pray about and move on is what I do.....I try to maintain some sense of emotional maturity by the end of the game.....messages during the game are a bad idea.....

I don't think anyone in their right mind doesn't see a talent problem.

That said, anyone in their right could see we played undisciplined and non inspired football against a team we have enough talent to compete with tonight. It was an embarrassing effort and that doesn't require talent.

If that doesn't change next week that's not a good sign at all.
