Strange how casually the TM rejection has been received

when compared to Grudenmania and it's followers who are still in denial..no jumping off bridges,nor giving back season tickets..etc..The Martin hire was 10 times more possible,and twice as important,but just given the "whatever'' when he declined by all the coaching experts here.

I'm saying, you get a taste a SoCal, it is hard to leave. That's why I thought the Jim Mora Jr. rumors, were just rumors. Making the kinda a money Tee is making, SoCal is even nicer.

I'm beginning to wonder if this interview was just done for the sake of interviewing. CBJ knew it meant alot to reach out to Tee, it showed he was serious about bringing one of our own back. I think Tee, just wanted to go through the motions, and to help his Alma Mater!! Don't know??

I am a little disappointed though. It would have been nice to have him.

Not implying that it's not true, but has anyone seen/posted anything offical on this yet?

Tee would have been great on the staff, but your strange assertion completely goes off the rails hen you claim the WR coach hire is more important than the head coach.

I think people just wanted Tee Martin because of the warm fuzzies it would bring out, but otherwise it isn't some critical hire.

I mean he might be a pretty good recruiter, maybe......at least that is what some people say around here.

I don't know the details...but Tee Martin ain't going to make us, or break us. I want as many of the Cincinnati coaches as we can get. That is the winning group!!!

Disappointed that Tee is coming, yes, but it's not the end of the world. However, Jim Bob Cooter thinks differently about Tee's decision.

Twitter "So you want me to continue cheering on the guy who comes into our backyard and convinces recruits not to come to Tennessee? No thanks"

My lack of interest/reaction is based on two thoughts:

1. CBJ needs to pick his own staff. If he wants no former Vol players on the staff that is his choice; and
2. I wrote TM off when he went to work for Kiffin. Really don't care if he ever comes around again.

Say what you will... but Tee could have been a fantastic addition to the staff. We desperately need recruiters like him.

Tee has a good thing going in sunny LA. Plus we have been Johnny come lately in showing him the love. Peyton always gets the attention even though Tee brought home the National Title.

We didn't name a street after him until complaints surfaced about him being slighted. This is the first time he has ever been offered a coaching job by his university.

Is he now just supposed to jump?
