while in the airport, i found myself buying the street and smith's football preview........

i know i know better, and even as i perused it before the purchase, i said to myself "this is a waste of money".

but i couldn't help it.

damn it. that thing was worthless.....gave it to the stewardess so she could give to her 6 year old son.

i could have gotten a taco bell value meal with that money.

Street and Smith's used to be the top of the line preview magazine in both football and hoops. Now, it gets by on name recognition alone.

People should just buy the Blue Ribbon football and basketball yearbooks and be done with it.

It's understandable. When you're desperate for reading material in an airport, the standards of acceptability go way down.

I loved them back in the 70s. It was a great magazine back then. Haven't purchased one in probably 20 years or so. I get the sporting news so I don't mess around with any of the annual yearbooks
