I thought this was interesting as to the SEC contenders:

Strength of Schedule Rank:

UGA, 1
BAMA, 16
UT, 18
A&M, 25
OM, 29
TEX, 38

Strength of Record (basically as I understand it, how difficult it is to have your current record vs. your schedule)

UGA, 2
TEX, 5
BAMA, 7
UT, 10
A&M, 11
OM, 12

Looks to me like the teams we have the best argument against straight up are Ole Miss and Texas A&M (and Texas if they lose 1 more game). We only need to finish in the Top 4. Obviously, we need to win out. A&M and TEX, one will eliminate the other. We have a decent argument against OM, even if they don't lose again (though of course it would be better if they or as many of the others as possible did lose).

I appreciate the info but the committee won’t drop Ole Miss if they win out. Or you can look at it as TN not leap frogging Ole Miss the next two weeks.

Texas will still go if they lose a close one to aTM as committee won’t drop them 8 spots.
