Strength of Schedule

Going into the year Florida had the "toughest schedule in the nation". Let's take a look now, with current AP rankings:

Vols:
California #10
Air Force
Marshall
Memphis
Arkansas #17


Gators:
Southern Miss
Central Florida
Auburn #11
Western Carolina
Florida State

Obviously I took out opponents we both played.

however, florida state may work their way back in the rankings before florida plays them.

Based upon the old SOS that was in the BCS,

1 Southern Cal 17-5, 67-49
2 Ohio State 18-6, 77-68
3 Florida 18-7, 74-58
4 Tennessee 15-7, 72-60
5 Notre Dame 18-9, 87-66

The computers use similar calcs in determing rankings. Note that the Vols only have 1 team remaining on their schedule that currently has a losing record.

I still feel that the lousiest thing the BCS has done was getting rid of the SoS variable in the formula.
