Why would they remove this from the polls and BCS? I would say SEC fans hate this and pac-10, ACC, and plenty more conferences love that it does not exist. Is it possible that it will be reversed and bring back strength of schedule next year?

That was the only advantage that the SEC had in the BCS. Now the crappy conferences with the team that has that awesome record has the advantage because they played no one.

Strength of schedule was presumed to already be included in the computer rankings, which it is.

So, in a sense, SOS is still in the BCS, just not as predominantly.

we'd all like that to be a bigger factor...we have the hardest five game stretch of any team in the nation this year.

the other thing to consider is that the pollsters are supposed to consider sos when making votes...not that it's completely objective or anything, but more times than not, who you play is considered when they make their votes....hence ND dropping in the polls.

and that's likely to continue considering their next few opponents...UNC, Navy, AF, etc....they won't get much credit by beating those guys, where on the other hand, we have to play USC, ARK, LSU...who are a combined 17-5 i believe...

The BCS and polls want to reward teams for playing in a weak conference and a weak schedule. Great system :BANGHEAD2:
