Since TN's Offense was ranked second in the SEC this season in production, does Strong keep CJC as OC and most of the offensive saff?

Also, Anyone know whether Strong runs the 3-4 or 4-3 defense?

Go Vols.
1st Signature win at UF next season. :eek:k:

Have any of you seen Shawn Watson?

Before saying "no", please tell me you have compared the two.

We know Strong needs a proven OC since he is clearly focused on the D. Who is out there as OC better than CJC that is available?

Not saying there aren't any just throwing out the question because this will likely be one of Strongs first big decisions after he is officially hired.

I think Strong as a HC, and Chaney as OC, Tee as WR coach, Graham as RB coach, and Sunseri washing their cars would be a perfect scenario.

Chaney is out. Hope Strong keeps Graham but may just bring over entire Louisville staff.

Im thinking keeping CJC may be the Quickest way to win. With CJC the players already know the system, etc and can continue the pretty good recruiting we sucess we've had with Offensive players the past few years.

Let Strong focus on fixing the D.

Strong could keep Chaney and Graham and just concentrating on the defensive side of the ball. Wouldn't have to worry about a complete staff rebuilding and probably sees the offense was the lone bright spot. Wouldn't have to start a new scheme and learn all over again. Far easier to incorporate a new defense than offense.

I would hope Hart would have asked him who he would bring with him

Agreed. I remember when CPF hired Clawson as OC and CPF let him bring his entire C grade assistant coaches with him to TN.

That didn't work. Go out and get the best person you can for each job - Don't just hire your budies.

OP. I tried the same thread. We need a RUNNING GAME! CHANEY HAS BAAN HERE 4 YEARS AND SUCKS! RECRUITING SUCCES? WHERE IS A DECENT RBACK? WE HAD 2ND RANKED O,BECAUSE WE WERE PLAYING FROM BEHIND ALL SEASON! WE CAN GET ANY O COORDINATOR AVAILABLE. WHICHEVER ONE CAN BRING IN A STUD RB AND POUND IT,WE NEED! STRONG WILL FIX THE D. WE NEED AN SEC OFFENSE!

well first Strong will have to become the HC here, but if he does,i see no reasons not to keep CJC and obviously Graham and Pittman, just get CJC reeled in on the play calling a bit,but of course he might not see it that way and want to start with an entirely clean slate, hopefully he would keep a couple of coaches around for continuity, going to be interesting as to who ever the new coach keeps,if any

I like the idea of keeping offensive staff and let Strong fix our defense. We could have won at least 9 games with a decent D
:)
