After watching how TX blew their game today, it's got me to really wondering which coach will be fired first if they don't get it turned around?

I'm just curious who will make it longer, and possibly turn it around? I went over to one of the Horns message boards tonight, and you think it's a meltdown here, their taking today's loss worse than us on Volnation. Lol. I really do like Butch and what he's done for our program, but in the cut throat world of college FB, it's what have you done for me lately. Both Butch and Strong inherited a very bad roster. It's going to be very interesting to see who's around longer.

Strong without Hurtt is looking less and less convincing. Texas is such a fertile recruiting ground though that I think he could have success but A&M going to the SEC makes it tougher.

Strong would most likely get fired before Butch. I say that for several reasons: 1. Texas fired their AD recently, 2. Strong doesn't seem like a good fit for Texas, 3. I think there is more pressure from the fan base and boosters to fire Strong at the moment, 4. Even though Texas owes Strong a huge buyout (they are probably still paying Mack Brown's buyout and Rick Barnes too), I believe the University and boosters have the financial resources to fire Strong

Strong definitely for the reasons above and yesterday they played a top 25 team and close rival but there were tons of empty seats

Texas gets blown out by TCU this Sat -- I think Strong likely gets fired afterward

Texas will probably go after Kliff Timothy Kingsbury (born August 9, 1979) is an American football coach and former college and professional quarterback. During his playing career, Kingsbury held and currently holds many Division I (NCAA) passing records, and won the Sammy Baugh Trophy in 2002. He is currently the head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders football program, where he played from 1998–2002.

Prior to being named head coach of the Red Raiders, Kingsbury was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach with the Texas A&M Aggies, coaching Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel during the 2012 season. Kingsbury began his coaching career as an assistant with the Houston Cougars from 2008-2011.

They just gathered up enough scratch to boot the AD @ Texas. Firing Strong is not out of the realm of possibility.

Tennessee does not have Texas $, and you've still got Dooley on the payroll. Y'all are atleast another year out.

Strong gets fired first for sure. So far Butch has at least out recruited most everyone at TN, and at the least had us ranked for a while and in position to beat one really good team (OU) and break a decade long streak against UF. No, he didn't pull it out, and he may not ever, but being in the position to do it is still light years closer than anything Strong has done at the baby UT.
