This is my daughters first year and she got 2 tickets from the school for the Florida game. All they say is GA which I assume means general admission, does anyone know how that works? I thought every ticket had a assigned section and seat number? Thanks.

UT doesn’t sell student tickets directly out of opponents’ venues or ticketing systems. Whatever tickets we get for students, gets sold out of the same system used for home games. Rather than build out someplace like Ben Hill Griffin in UT’s system, they just sell whatever they’ve got like it’s a big general admission venue. Then you take that, basically a ticket voucher that you bought, and whenever they distribute the real tickets you bring that voucher and redeem it for your away game ticket. So, when it’s pick up day, tell your daughter to come early if she wants to get the better seats from among whatever we got for students.

Yeah, away game tickets are first come, first serve for those who won the lottery. I always made it a priority to be there early to pick them up. I went to every road game I could and was always in the first 3 or 4 rows.
