Submit Hotkey in Firefox?

Is there a hotkey in Firefox that will submit or save edits like Alt+S in IE?

Yes. For some reason they stole the usage of Alt-S for the history in the main bar... here's how you fix it.

type about:config in the address bar. This brings up a long list of values for the configuration of firefox. In the filter line type ui.key. You should see a short list of preferences that includes "ui.key.chromeAccess" and "ui.key.contentAccess". Their values need to be swapped so that

ui.key.chromeAccess=5
ui.key.contentAccess=4
