I don't know about the rest of y'all but I am missing not being in a bowl game and having the opportunity to cheer on our Vols one more time. Next year could be tough but if there is one thing I would like to see, it is us going to a bowl regardless of which one or how small. I am not looking forward to the many long months without Vols football.

Agreed! A winning record along with a bowl game must be the goal for next season.

I don't expect alot in the first couple of years in games or recruiting because rebuilding takes time.

Adding a trip out West to play Oregon next year makes things even tougher.

I won't be surprised if we miss a bowl game nexy year but I sure would love to see it happen.

In year 2 I'll again EXPECT to see us back in some bowl game and to build to better bowl games each year afterwards.

VFL...GBO!!!

We can make it to a bowl next year with an improved D. Had three chances this year with any type of defense (UGA, USCe, Mizzou).

It may be a low level bowl, but it will be a bowl. Gotta start somewhere.

I agree

"Everything's better with Blue Bonnet on it."

That's what we were chanting at the last home game in 1979. We were so excited going to The Bluebonnet Bowl after missing out of a bowl game 5 straight years.

We score 35 pts a game. Dooley hires a first time DC. That gave up career games to alot of teams. Wonder what went wrong? :detective:

It will be tough to go 6-6. Brutal schedule, and we'll have an inexperienced qb with inexperienced receivers.

Agreed. 6-6 or 7-5 would be great with a whole new coaching staff and offense. If we could get to 8 total wins that would be huge. Idiotic people will be calling for Jones head after we lose to Oregon and Florida.

Yep ready to see UT in a bowl.

If I remember correctly we played in the last: Astro Blue Bonnet Bowl and the last Garden State Bowl

Well the thing with a new coaching staff is we might surprise some folks. Look at what A&M did this year. Granted we don't have a Johnny Manziel, but a new coaching staff can bring some energy to a talented, yet lethargic team.

I agree with u but my concern is the fan base thinking "we're back!!" and then year 2 doesn't hold up to the expectations set. This group of fans would screw up a wet dream prematurely.

I try to tell my aggie friends the same thing. They need to go into next year cautiously and hope it wasn't a one year wonder. Now they'll have to actually try and implement an actual offensive game plan instead of just having the kid run around. Its now gotten harder for sumlin with KK gone too imo.

Hokes first year (11-2) compared to 2nd year (8-2) at Mich is an example of what I'm referring to. And yes I would take thos records but it doesn't mean that the program is "back" and that's what we need for long term success.

Chick fil a bowl should be do able next season with a win over a crappy acc team

Uh minimum to get to that game is 8 wins. We will have to upset Vandy to even be bowl eligible. 6 wins is the ceiling for next season.

Success will be 3 SEC wins in 2013 but after winning only 2 SEC games in 2 years, I'm not sure I can see any success in 2013....but here's to success
