Yup I saw the CBS affiliate in Houston is reporting it. If so, that explains the thrashing today.

Sumlin pulling a Brian Kelly here. But coaching is a business now, so it is what it is I guess.

No wonder some people feel student athletes should be paid. The guy you believed in will willingly throw in the towel for more money and a better job. I always thought players were given enough with scholarships, room and board. Now... I don't know. Gross watching a coach not really care about an undefeated season because he has something else in place for his future. Guess he'll fit right in Aggie Land based on what that ToddyHill dude said. Firing your coach on the phone while he is in a recruits driveway. Nice!!!!!

I'm not on the Sumlin bandwagon. I also wouldn't jump to a school that's entering it's first year in the toughest division in the toughest conference.

It was probably his best offer though.

Ever. His scheme, like all others, will be exposed and eventually fail. He will have some intermediate early success, but he will struggle. Good luck to him tho.
