Realized (too late) I was seriously lacking in good summer shirts, so got around to buying a few different brands & materials to experiment with. So far Ive found rayon to be the superior material in comfort and breath-ability but I mostly wear short sleeve button ups. Polyester and polyester blends are fine but to me rayon feels best (I live in a hot, humid environment, so this may be a factor). I know brands like Columbia, Reyn Spooner & Tony Bahama are well known for their quality. Are there any other brands that I should look out for? I'm looking more for quality than price. Any tips would be appreciated.

When I visit Florida in the summertime, I like to visit Bealls. They have a brand called "Reel Legends" They make a fishing shirt that I like, similar to Columbia. You can find them on-line here:

Go to Dillard's and load up on cotton crepe shirts. They work quite nicely in the Metroplex but God only knows what works in Austin.

What you want is wicking. Gotta have the wicking. Good wicking is absolutely the key. Look for wicking.

Howler Brothers makes awesome shirts -- fishing, hiking, casual, nice enough to wear out to dinner.

Cool thanks - Nat Nast looks nice. Rayon is a bit of a hassle but all it takes is a little hand washing - totally worth it for me

I love Howler Brothers stuff. They're my favorite hiking shirts, and I always get compliments on them when I wear them out somewhere.
