Why is she constantly railing on this team? Pat, Mrs. Old School, thinks that more work is the answer to everything. Not a bad philosophy--but she's misses the point about this team: It's very young and not very talented, and yelling out them constantly and kicking them out of the lockerroom probably won't help. I the duke game, and duke was clearly the better team in every way. I'm not saying effort isn't an issue at times--but I do know that talent is an issue. When you've only got one point guard, a pint-size freshman; when you're shooting guard lacks quickness; when your promising small forward (Stricklin) is playing waaay out of position (pg!), when your bigs are all young and slow; you've got problems. The team struggles to score, but that's been a UT problem for years. Hey, PS will always get the benefit of the doubt--and we'll see what happens from here. I truly think PS should retire soon.

Because she knows what is best for her team.

Since you used the word truly, I'm assuming you aren't being sarcastic, just asinine.

This is the most idiotic post I have seen in some time. I'll gladly trust the judgement of someone with 30+ years experience, 1000+ wins, and 8 NCs in both how to coach and when to call it a career.

This team is talented and I predict they will all leave UT with NC championship rings. In a few years when they are raising the new banner in TBA, you can look back and see how wrong you were about this group of Lady Vols.

She's railing on them because they deserve it. I don't care if they're young, small, slow or half retarded, there are some things, simple things, these girls should be doing and they're not producing. Feeling sorry for them is not going to accomplish anything. You don't think these girls knew what they were signing up for when they committed to Pat Summitt?

Amen! Just give Pat time to coach them and give them more maturity and experience....no one will be able to touch them....say National Champions in 2011!

I think that might be the worst post in volnation history. Pat Summitt has forgot more about basketball than you'll ever know.

I think CPS making them do laundry and getting rough on them is better than patting them on the A$$ and clapping. I love CPF but hated that about him.

This is the dumbest post ever! You should never be allowed to post again for saying that Pat Summit should retire and for questioning her coaching tactics. I mean she only has 1000 wins and 8 national championships, but yeah she should retire. Great thinking buddy.

They have NO talent? How many McDonalds All-Americans did she get in this years class?

I am sure about 100 other programs would like to take this team and this years record away from her at any time. It is not all that bad and she will have them ready soon.

There are 9 McDonalds AA on the roster (though Baugh is out injured)... Pat has another McDonalds AA coming in next season and another top recruit in the 2010 class.
