The panel on Meet the Press (Andrea Mitchell in particular) were gushing about how wonderful Obama has already been as president elect.
Now 15 minutes into Chris Matthews and here are a few gems:
The terrible economy Obama will inherit from George Bush (I'm sure he never felt Bush inherited the recession from Clinton - in fact he's often mention that a strong, surplus generating economy is what was inherited.)
He wondered who the Chief Jeer Leader will be saying even when someone as "historically wonderous" as Obama is elected the other side will use a jeer leader to tear them down from day one.
They used a Jay Leno joke clip about Palin to introduce a segment and then through in a 2002 clip from the Simpson lampooning the evil Republican party headquarters that was completely out of context for the segment. Matthews finishing statement after the clip was that Cheney would be happy in that scene -- then they cut to commercial.
Another gem from a commentator was that Bush is not in favor of bailing out the auto industry simply because they want to make Obama's job more difficult when he takes over.
This is just a sampling but it's mind blowing how in the tank these shows are. I'm sure LG would be outraged!
