Now is the time to really show support- not just financial; but loyalty and passion. I canceled my membership after the Mike Matthew’s situation; but just re-upped the Smokey Tier.

I hate NIL, dislike what it’s done to the sport; but our Coach just made the Biggest of Big Sack moves this morning and no matter the out come.. I SUPPORT HIM. So much respect for sticking up for the Vols and not an individual, CJH.

“According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, head coach Josh Heupel informed the team early Saturday morning of the plans to move on from the former 5-star recruit who started during the 2024 season. The situation came to a head when Iamaleava was absent from practice and team meetings on Friday on the eve of the spring game, something Thamel reported was a driving factor in the decision”

Right move by Heup. So glad to have a coach with a spine.

Thank you for this thread about supporting CJH. Not his fault that this flaky California Pre-Madonna and his father, who now realizes that they need to grab all the dough they can because his son will NEVER be good enough for the NFL, is heading on to greener ($) but, not necessarily better pastures. I wish him nothing but all the incompletions and missed TD throws that he tossed here in Knoxville at his new home and am excited that all of us, including Bob Kessling, can properly pronounce the name of our newest QBs!! Puck 'em and love the UT admin for standing pat on this.

Absolutely. I think Heupel had enough of Daddy telling him how to run his program. Good riddance.

Listening to the pundits both their and my opinion have morphed into the same conclusion. “Who in their right mind thought this was the right way to handle this situation?” Within hours, the family gets exposed as liars and the player deceives not only the coaches but his teammates. We all know that Nico has great potential but he’s not all that just yet.

I’m excited to see what JM can do. He’s never been afraid of competition and he’s very talented. The coaches have commented previously about how much he has improved. Apparently, he is well liked by the team.

Could we have another Tee Martin year? Ok, ok one can dream can’t he?

lol after the past 15 years losing Nico doesn’t even rank in the top 10 of hits this fanbase has had to endure. Volnation will rally like it always has.

I was all-in with CJH before…and I remain all-in now.

I think the whole Vol AD handled this as well as possible under the circumstances.

Still think the reason Nico didn't play his freshman year is bc dad wouldn't allow it.

I don't know how CJH put up with it as long as he did. Must seem like a personal failure for CJH, but he did right by moving on.

Ehh. He locked on receivers, stared them down, often missed seeing the better option, and didn't seem to realize when it was time to run. (Or he simply chose not to)

Well. I bet a bunch of coaches have silently thanked him for it. Nico and company really didn't give them much of a option. Somebody dangled the carrot and he bit on it.. Hope whoever it was has buyer's remorse in the end just like Tennessee did..

He’s a 7 on 7 phenomenon. 11on 11, he’s pretty good but very inconsistent. He never had a full “great” game throwing the football

His father is his biggest problem. Once your kid gets to college (& today, making millions) you need to back the hell out & let real coaches coach.

Daddy has ruined this kids name. He’ll always have “running out on his team for money” on his resume.
