Support This Team

I wanted to please ask the fan base to get behind this team and support them right now, we have 2 huge games coming up and we can still make the tournament with wins. Our fanbase has become spoiled and expects to win every game, but the amount of complaining has spiraled out of control. I think a lot of people are taking their frustration of the football program the last few years out on the b-ball team this year and it needs to stop immediately because this team is really young and it's a long way until the end of the season. Good coaches have made adjustments after watching our team play and they are making us shoot a lot from the perimeter because Pearl and the rest of the UT coaching staff has been reluctant to get the ball in the post because we do not have a true low post scoring threat. Harris scores the majority of his points in transition or taking bigger players off the perimeter or free throw extension. In order to start winning games we are going to have to create open lanes to the basket for Scotty and Cameron and create shots for our big men, instead of shooting low percentages jump shots and 3's.

We lost to a team that is 10-0 at home and we put up a good fight at the end of the game. We played Arkansas at a horrible time, because they just got destroyed by Texas. Arkansas will win the SEC West and more than likely make the NCAA tournament. That was not a horrible team we lost to by any means. Pelphrey made some great calls and completely outcoached Jones today. The team tried but breaks did not go there way today, nor big shots went their way. Hopson made some mistakes in the second half but still hit some huge shots also. They really tried to take him out of the game. We are going to win the next 2 games against Florida and Vanderbilt. There is no other option, or else we will probably not be going to the NCAA tournament. Our team needs your support and please get behind them because SOME of the negative comments right now are getting ridiculous and really make our fanbase look like spoiled, fairweather fans.

I am behind them, but I am not happy with the inconsistent efforts.

ill always be behind them ,but im quite upset with their play, way to inconsistent you dont get to take games off esspecially not in conference play

i' ve been behind this team and university for 45 years. i'll be behind them no matter what happens till the day i die(unlike 50 % of the so called fans out there). i hurt when they lose and are happy when they win. i could go on and on but, i think about our fanbase and think-----

It is hard to get behind a team of loafers that want to win, but don't want to work for it. Has Scotty done anything to improve his ball handling? Has Bryan done anything to improve his free throw shooting? It is a sad state of affairs when your two biggest slackers/head cases are the team leaders. Honestly, I think the overall attitude and team hustle would be greatly improved if these two cancers were gone. I'm sick of seeing this team go through the motions during games against weak teams.

I don't care which Vol team shows up. I'll be pulling for them to the last second. What else is there to do if you're a fan, C'mon man! Long season ahead. Who knows what will happen, just hang in. Good things!

I've always supported the bball team, but this year is frustrating to watch

I don't want to see Scotty gone, but I agree with all of this.

Is supporting them going to make them play harder? Give effort every game instead of the ones they select to bring effort? Maybe the fans should just support them on the nights they decide to show up.
