I don't think it will get anymore splintered than in any other primary UNLESS Iraq has turned into Vietnam.
I actually welcome the splintering. I believe it will result in the resurrection of the political party I most readily identify with on all major issues, with the notable exception of civil right matters related to race, the Dixiecrats.

Well the funny part is how the most liberal of those potentially running seems to be favored by far right types like Ralph Reed. And yes this man has more baggage than Christmas at O'Hare. Pro gun control, pro-choice, pro gay rights along with a very liberal view on entitlements and social programs...put a D behind his name instead of an R and he'd win.

Keep in mind that Rudy and Ralph Reed are very chummy right now and Ralph is working behind the scenes to help out.
