Beating Xavier today was big. This season can still be salvaged. Remain calm.

Obviously we couldn't have eliminated ourselves in November, but our hole could have very, very deep if we had lost again to the Musketeers. A win over wake/usc and we are still okay.

Agree.

Like I said, potential crisis avoided. Win tomorrow in convincing fashion and take the two wins.

We get Wake tomorrow. We can't rest on them. They gave Kansas a pretty good game and lost by 9. If we play like we did today, we'll win.

thought you jumped off last night. If CM isn't the man, what difference does it make?

That's why I stick to discussing the games, don't make predictions, and don't guarantee success or failure. Too many things can happen.

Like not showing up for Wake?

just the emotional roller coaster. Its ridiculous in football and basketball. We go from bailing on a coach and guaranteeing his failure to discussing how excellent he coached and the team played.
I wish people could just debate and discuss what happens on the floor rather than being so damned emotional about it.

this whole site is the same way. No sense in denying it. Football losses bring out angry and emotional drunks, while wins have fewer posts.
It's a place for people to vent, so it's obvious some show up when losing and others are gone when winning.
I'm here all the time.

If we were at a basketball court and all of VN was there and we were going to play a pickup game. And the criteria was you had to have posts being level headed and honest about wins and loses, and not rant for a day about it. We might be able to play 3 on 3.

I am here year round and I don't post on every subject especially in the off season because if you disagree with the lover group you get flamed so what's the use in bringing something up.

Definitely a great turn around win.

But man that UTEP loss is looking worse with how Iowa is abusing them right now. Down 30 with about the whole second half to go.

Yeah we won the losers bracket, huge step forward
What did you want them to do today? Roll over and quit? Lose? Tie? What man? I mean come on they had a bad game against a inferior opponent one that they should have beat by 15+ but they couldn't hit a free throw. I'd be more worried about this team if they didn't bounce back...but guess what they did! So get behind them. Do I think CCM should stay, well I'm not making judgement on his first 6 games I'm waiting until the end of the year and being rational.

Losing to Xavier and UTEP (both teams we were favored to win) is also BIG. Time to get rid of Martin. I say fire him now. It's like ripping a band aid off really quick.

HIRE BRUCE PEARL!

LOL, okay, they were favored by 2 points after having to look it up. They shouldn't have been, not with the injuries they had.

We were favored over UTEP by 6.

Like I said you were wrong. Xavier was favored in the first game, and again in the one today. Doesn't matter if you think they should've been or not, they were.
