Considering the historic nose-dive the men's basketball team has taken in the last month, do you think that Pearl's suspension will help to galvanize the team and they can rally to earn a birth to the NCAA tourney? They need to step up in SEC play to have a shot but the SEC is so terrible even if they have 10 wins in conference, if they're all against the west that may not be enough to get an at-large bid considering the bad losses. I hope they are able to - otherwise the SEC may only get 2 or 3 teams in the tournament.

Am I off base here? Do you think Pearl's suspension actually be a blessing in disguise?

Make no mistake, Pearl will have almost total control. He will still coach up to one hour before game time. I am interested to see how this goes tho

We already have enough quality wins to offset some weak teams in the SEC scehdule, but Vandy,Kentucky,Florida,Georgia are all pretty good and would not hurt the Vols!

Yea, there's every indication that we're going to roll these teams in conference play.
