Do they even check her mentally to see if she's ok.. A highly respected coach who had coached for 33yrs with all the super stars black players can't just started making racial remarks. She's also could be frustrated with the entire program.

Old school coach vs snowflake kids.

Snowflakes win. Snowflakes win.

It does seem weird that after all these years she wakes up and becomes or says something racist ?

Now rushing players back i always wonder if someone has a torn ACL and someone is like oh come on you can play or is it soreness and they expect the kids to push through and it just being a difference in the time.

People change as they get older. Some appreciate life more and some become bitter. If you go the appreciate route, you embrace the young people. If you go the bitter route then younger people become something you despise. I have seen this many times happen to people I know as they age. It's going to happen and it's going to go in one route or the other. I think Hatchell went the bitter route.

And Chiney Ogwumike was on ESPN talking about Hatchell last night saying that coaches today need to change in order to cater to today's student-athletes! I guess the kids are running the show now.

When I hear that coaches need to cater to athletes that makes me want to šŸ¤®

I can see adapting to new athletes to be more relatable but be damned catering to them. Catering sounds like what got the LV into some of their current issues.

Itā€™s like the Tom Izzy thing and people (Brendan Haywood and Candace Parker) were saying theyā€™ll be glad when that type of coaching dies out šŸ˜‚ that young man signed to play for Tom Izzo knowing the type of coach he was and he later said he had no problem with it because he didnā€™t do what was asked (he didnā€™t get back on defense in the first round and jogged back).

To be fair someone later asked about Pat and she said no pat never pointed her finger at me or met me at half court and one of the other analyst said because she used that death stare and you already know you were in trouble so you ran back to your seat šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

She did use the word ā€œadaptā€ and made point that the student athletes are human beings and not just serviceable engines to their program ? She also mentioned about players ā€œcalling out their coachesā€ when it came to remarks being made and when it is in the case of racist remarks that is fair because that doesnā€™t have a place and I agree.

Sheā€™s probably BEEN like that but did a good job hiding it like most people do. Hmph. After all, if those kids help her secure her giant salary then she has to ā€œtolerateā€ them. Its no different than anywhere else...people can be racist but tolerate a person of a different race because they need something from them. Has nothing to do with snowflake kids and if I were one of her players and she said something out of the way to me I wouldā€™ve punched her dead in the mouth.

Coaches forcing kids to play hurt happens frequently at some programs. I personally know that someone on Carolyn Peckā€™s staff when she was at Florida coerced a player to participate in weight lifting who had major surgery and had not been cleared to do anything. Put a lot of pressure on her and embarrassed her in front of the team and Coach Peck was aware. She did a lot of stupid stuff while she was at Florida.

I feel for that women. She's been through so much and trying to get her team back on track. Glad she's smart enough to resign and not fired. I don't think she will coach again.
Yes I completely agree. My junior high coach was meaner than a wet hen. Embarrassing the hell out of me in games. "What part of clear out do you not understand?" It didn't take much for me to learn what the head pat from the point guard meant he was running a clear out play, but I AM GLAD THAT HE DID THAT! I learned and it turned my focus on learning. I have always thanked him for that.
