Some surprising results so far this weekend.

UVa beat Miami, OSU over Maryland, and 'Cuse taking out Duke.

Was somewhat surprised Florida kept it as close as they did against MSU.

ND only up 2 at half on Pitt.

5:00 mins left in 4th of UK-Auburn and its tied. Perhaps UK will start their normal SEC slide in game 1.

Not surprised. I expect LSU to beat a few people they shouldn't here and there but otherwise it will be a long season in BR.

The women's game has changed so much, it is starting to reflect the men's game. I feel that UCONN days are numbered after the two super star seniors graduate. There are some great coaches out there. Now don't get me wrong, as long as Genno is the HC at UCONN they will always be relevant.

One of the issues I have with fans saying Holly needs more time. That is B.S. because in today's game there is no OJI especially since she has been in the HC position for 4 years and as an assistant for 30 years. It is time for Holly to crap or get off the HC pot.

Maybe there's more parity in WCBB than we typically think.

This is the type of thing people need to realize - who you think are good, just might not be and someone that was not expected to be good just might be. Syracuse probably doesn't have any big name players but that doesn't not make them a good team. People have to relax and let this Lady Vols team learn to play together and hope they hit there stride at tournament time because the only way to take down a UConn is to shoot a solid percentage from 3, which the LVs are not doing yet but will hopefully grow into as the team matures

I am really hoping that some of these "upset" scores are reflecting steps towards parity in the women's game. Sure, as a UConn fan I am glad the Huskies are winning, but I enjoyed the Maryland game a heck of a lot more than the Cincinnati rout. And if UConn loses games here and there, which I expect will be the case next year, that's okay. It would be better for the overall health of the sport.

In this weeks top 25 poll Mississippi St won 2 games and jumped from 8th to 7th. Ohio St won 2 games and jumped from 9th to 5th. Really??

I suppose it reflects OSU beating two ranked teams, one of them being higher at the time (MD) and Mississippi State taking down only one ranked team.

Duke has underwhelmed ever since GG left. The OSU win over Maryland was a little surprising although OSU is on the rise. They have a very talented freshman who will only get better. They have a very good coach too.
