Well, this did happen to Michigan State a couple of years ago and they seem fine. I hope it affects him a little, we could use all the help we need.

This game was on basic cable in the NYC area and Syracuse looked bad the whole way. The refs even tried to bail them out in the last minute when they took the lead, but then they left a guy wide open for the 3, then missed an ugly shot at the buzzer. Any recruit that watched that game would think twice about Syracuse afterward.

The Grand Valley State loss didn't appear to hurt Michigan State's recruiting.

it will help a little with Tobias none the less. I couldn't imagine the meltdown on this board if we lost to that team.

It's a bad loss, but teams have overcome things like this before. See Michigan State. Harris would be crazy to base his choice off of one bad game to a team that Syracuse wasn't even close to being up for.

For those that are unaware, Michigan State had a similar loss a couple years ago.

I had heard from somewhere about such a loss by Michigan State a couple of years ago myself,,,,,Now who was that they lost to?

Did you not know that it does not matter what you do in the regular season? It is meaningless to be ranked, it is all about the tournament...

Didn't Kentucky get beat by a team like that last year ot the year before?

Both years, actually. Gardner-Webb year before, and VMI last year. However, neither are D2 schools. But that means little, as it still means chaos in Kentucky to lose to anybody like that.

Yeah, I didn't think it was a D2 school but it was definitely a loss to someone you shouldn't have lost to...I don't think you guys have anything to worry about now with Calipari

These losses tell us how important basketball is in the state of Kentucky.
