Evidently, in the first half Newton got his bell rung. He sat out of practice on Monday and Tuesday.

After practice last night, Newton said that on Carolina's first touchdown, that the offense "just went up to the line with no play and it worked out."

He said that there was one play where he "got tackled and one of the (Tennessee)guys dove in kind of late, and when he hit me, he was the one that actually lifted me up and said he was sorry for it and that was good sportsmanship on his behalf."

I thought that was an interesting look inside the lines.

The second play he spoke of was in the back of the endzone. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the one where the concussion occured. It was in the third quarter though.

They sayed he just got back to the sideline when Meachem fumbled on the punt and he had to get back out there.
