T BAll operating expenses?

What operating expenses do T Ball programs incur? I am helping with my granddaughter's T Ball team. They play on a field in the city limits that is maintained by the city. They are doing a fundraiser for operating expenses. Just curious as to what type of operating expenses are not covered. We paid for her uniforms and equipment. Where are the funds typically applied from fundraisers?

Is the league T-Ball only or are there higher levels in the organization? I ask because at some level you'll need to pay umpires.

Does the league play at night? Usually lights cost extra - the league will pay some subsidized cost to the county or Parks&Rec.

There may be some advertising costs, or admin fees (website hosting, scheduling software).

Sometimes leagues will offer registration costs that are significantly lower so people will sign up, and then use fundraising costs to help pay for overhead uniforms and equipment (shirts, hats, helmets, bats, tees, etc).

Sometimes there's a slush fund for families that can't afford registration, a scholarship fund, so to speak.

Thanks PotS. I'm not sure about the league, but all the games are at night, though it gets dark late. I do like the slush fund parts for needy families. Our first big game is tonight, and our team colors are orange and black. I'm all in!

Having coached t-ball, there should be a reserve fund established to buy the coaches liquor after each game.
