If....IF....he doesn’t go to Dallas, Urban is headed to Southern Cal.....

I really don't think Urban is going to USC. I think given two things: First, USC has had a bunch of problems with legal issues lately, (see USC's enrollment scandal), Second, Urban has a bit of a history with troubles following him. I just don't think USC will take the risk, they already have plenty of PR issues.

the new AD is supposedly a morals guy, if its his decision it wont be Meyer - if the boosters decision it could be -- if its not Meyer I would guess Utahs coach

I could see FSU potentially hiring these coaches for their vacant head football coaching job

Dave Clawson Wake Forest head football coach
Hugh Freeze Liberty head football coach
Matt Campbell Iowa State head football coach
PJ Fleck Minnesota head football coach
Mike Norvell Memphis head football coach

I would add Mark Stoops to that list, not the biggest name but probably the one that would be most willing to jump into that situation right now.

Are you kidding? For $17M buyouts coaches should be lining up to go there.

I think Matt Campbell would be dangerous, as would Matt Rhule.

Why not Jim McElwain he won the SEC East twice in three years?

Stoops would be a best case scenario IMO. I just don't see a lot of top-tier coaches jumping into a situation where the previous coach got fired after 1.5 years for no reason other than losing to a rival. For Stoops, though, he has a history there and he'd have a much higher ceiling than at Kentucky.

Sure, coaches who don't already have high buyouts. That's the problem. Any random coordinator or lower-level coach would jump at the job, but it's going to be tough to get a top-tier coach concerned with winning to go into a situation where the directive is "WIN IN 2 YEARS OR ELSE?!" This is especially true since it's not exactly like said coach would be inheriting a championship team.

I immediately thought of Stoops...I think he is a quite a few spots down the list, but I could see him doing it. He cant really accomplish anything else better than 2018. Florida State has a massive ceiling.
