Me and my wife are going to the home opener on Aug 31st and were wanting to know where the best tailgating spot is and how to get a pass for that lot. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

you would have to purchase a parking pass for any UT lot from a season ticket holder. They don't sell cheap...

as far as lots, I parked in G5 for many years and tailgated there. Right across from Neyland. Many of the lots are good for tailgating though. Its what is preference. I also parked in various lots during the years (G10, 9, 9B and G4). Liked G5 best
