Before the scoreboard readers come in and point out that we lost, anyone that watched the game against a quality opponent like Duke can't say that Martin isn't doing good things. I couldn't have anymore pride than I do now in my Vols playing Duke the way we just did. It really just makes me that much more excited about our future. This guy will go down as a Grade A top coach. I aint going to bash his recruiting anymore because he obviously knows what to do.

Now here's to beating Memphis tomorrow :rock:

Agreed... if a few more shots inside would have fell it could have been a different game. Glad to see the team playing with heart and a coach that has us on track!

F em Shaun. Most of them are football bandwagoners anyway. We got a gem in Coach Martin. Im pumped for the future.

Played hard and confident and after all that happen last season very impressive. Witch Doctor say missed layups and a few corrections but its better than hoped...lets be real.

Moral victories suck, but I really like what I've seen so far from the team this year. Keep it up 'Zo....

Just the halfcourt game is enough to get excited about. I can't wait until we work out some of these kinks. I really didn't believe Memphis was a winable game for us but I change my mind because if we play like we know they can play, we'll be in every game this season. I know it's early for Duke too and they lost a lot last year but what other team are we going to play this season that has the type of discipline that Duke has? I can't think of many on our schedule, outside of the BE teams and Pitt and Uconn are definantly winnable games.

Nope. I could care less about a moral victory but 99% of our fanbase and the rest of the country knew Duke would beat us. In fact, going by the predictions, the analyst, and listening to people, we should have lost by 30. I was just simply complimenting our coach and that people are getting shown proof that somebody else not named Bruce might just be okay

How in the hell can you be a UT and Kentucky fan? I just don't think it can be mentally possible to do such a thing lol

How would anyone know anything about CCM's recruiting at this point? Other then Yemi's 4 points did any other CCM recruit score in today's game? One thing I really like was during the pregame interview CCM said "I think we can beat Duke". He didn't say anything about how young his team is or how much experience and talent Duke had. I wish our football coach would coach his team to believe like that.

Im not a huge UT supporter, but I dont hate them. I root for them occasionally and respect the program.

At least give me some credit...Im not gonna lie when I say I like UK a lot more. Im not gonna pretend like I love UT more.

They played hard and they are well coached but that doesn't impact his recruiting a whole lot imo. You still have my permission to potentially bash his recruiting -- just not his coaching as they do appear to be pretty well coached. You have to be able to recruit and coach. Great effort by the team and a very enjoyable game to watch. I don't think we watched the 11th best team in the SEC.

Witch Doctor say 3rd game of the season on the road against Duke as true Freshman dont fill a stat sheet. Witch Doctor say if he wins 15+ then lets talk recruiting. Bruce was fired March 21st, not much time to recruit ...realistically. BUT Richardson just might make a Jujuan type player at this pace...
