Good. Afghan food is fantastic!

Oh, and about the terrorism and crime threat, see: https://www.cato.org/blog/there-no-good-reason-block-afghan-refugees
According to data that Michelangelo Landgrave and I gathered for a recent paper on immigrant criminality, Afghan immigrants aged 18–54 in the United States were incarcerated at a rate of 127 per 100,000 Afghan immigrants in 2017. By comparison, native‐born Americans in the same age range were incarcerated at a rate of 1,477 per 100,000 native‐born Americans. In other words, native‐born Americans were about 11.6 times as likely to be incarcerated as Afghan immigrants. Afghans don’t pose much of a serious criminal threat in the United States.

One Learning Lesson. DC , regardless of party or President, is one effed up incompetent group. Think about that as they want to control your HC, retirement savings or any aspect of your peronal life. In the macro sense Climate Change or whatever.

DC is and has always been fools.

That seems like it was the main objective since the mid 1950's. Now we can agree on that.

I might disagree to an extent on the time. More like the early to mid 60s after the Cuban Missile Crisis honestly. I agree the MIC got really large during the 60s since the goal was to get the contacts to buy equipment and whatnot because the .mil was a huge animal and equipping millions turned a tidy profit. Plus the Vietnam War made replacing material a lot more lucrative as well as building all over SE Asia.

But with the drawdown of the 90s, the money was being made after the conflict was over fixing what we broke. The money for defense contracts wasn't as plentiful with a smaller force; so, the big money contracts happened after everything was done.

The buck stops here!

"So you don't think this could have been handled -- this exit could have been handled better in any way, no mistakes?" Stephanopoulos asked Biden.

"No, I don't think it could have been handled in a way that, we're gonna go back in hindsight and look -- but the idea that somehow, there's a way to have gotten out without chaos ensuing, I don't know how that happens. I don't know how that happened," Biden replied.
