It's becoming readily apparent that UNLV passed on both Larry Brown and Bob Knight to hire Dave Rice. While a case can be made that hiring a 70 year old coach wouldn't have been a prudent course for Vegas to follow, it will certainly be brought up ad nauseum if Rice doesn't succeed.
