Thank you Tamika Catchings!

"Catchings, a 6-foot-1 forward, first became well-known to most women's basketball fans as a freshman at Tennessee in 1997. She was part of what was called the "Three Meeks," along with Chamique Holdsclaw and Semeka Randall. Those Lady Vols, among the most talented teams ever in women's college basketball, went 39-0 to win the 1998 NCAA title."

One of my all time favorites. Fought hard, played the game with passion and always carried herself with class. She will be missed on the courts.

Sadly now she'll always have that moment to ruin her last big night. Stupid of her, her team and that awful head coach.

I'll just respond with this...

WNBA players should be applauded for taking a stand on issues

"Here's the bottom line: There would not be a WNBA -- and I wouldn't have this career -- if it were not for the toil, the strength, the ability and the courage of black women. So what they care about, I care about. What they worry about is a concern to me. When they speak, I listen. It's my job, but it's also at the very core of why I wanted to do the job in the first place."

You are joking but we probably should. We have essentially two countries within one border with divided interests, beliefs, and viewpoints on life that are in many cases irreconcilable.
