I think it was postponed until a later vote, but it will be an absolutely beautiful park if it ever gets built.

Is that a stadium or star ship enterprise from star trek? I've been to their current stadium and it's a dump so anything is better than what they got now.

The Trop isn't a suitable stadium for a major league baseball team, putting aside my fond memories. Obviously something needs to be done.. Newest article i have seen..

New stadium for Rays? What the lease has to say - St. Petersburg Times

Biggest issue right now is the Trop lease, how easy is to get out of? Honestly the best option for this franchise is to get closer to the other side of the bridge, AKA Tampa. The thing about this area is it's so spread out, it's a unique area that is fighting geography, long standing fanbases from transplants and humid weather.

My bet is a outdoor stadium near Raymond James.. Possibly more near the bay itself that links Tampa and St Pete. I wish the best for this franchise, effin deserves a fresh start in a new stadium that wasn't built for the S.F Giants...

I like that stadium idea. It has the canopy to keep rain out but is also open to give it the outside feel for a sport meant to be played outside.
