I'd take him just because we need a big man. But he would definitely need to be developed. ESPN in Memphis was ripping how he had his own press conference at his house with a mural of himself beside him. And then he even wore his Tigers warmup suit during the interview and on campus afterwards.

Gary Parrish said that two top ten coaches have called him to inquire about Tarik. I would like to try and get him. It would be a longshot though.

I don't get it. I thought college athletes had a 1 year sit out rule if they transferred (with exception to family issues)? How is he gonna play right away next season?

He's on pace to graduate, therefore can transfer to a program and play immediately if they offer a masters program that Memphis doesn't.

T.B. is not the end-all be-all by any means, but Memphis is a better team with him than without. He will make a great addition to some other school and it will open up a scholarship spot for Pastner to hopefully fill with a big recruit. Hopefully a win-win for all involved.

Credit to Pastner for not holding T.B. hostage. The only rule he gave T.B. is he couldn't play for anyone on Memphis's schedule next year. Not many coaches would be willing to do that.
