Actually, he takes over a very strong Division II program. Since he is still reasonably young (52), he could use this to springboard to a D1 school. On the other hand, the Shoals area of Northwest Alabama has been the place that old coaches (Curley Hallman, Joe Hollis etc.) come to let their careers die.

ya UNA is def a d2 powerhouse. they are in the same conference as my school. altho we have hockey instead of football, everyone knows about UNA football. it'll be interesting to see what he does with them

When I attended UNA (football seasons of 86 and 87) they were not very good, but shortly after that they won 3 Nat. Champ's in a row. In fact a kid that used to help us haul hay helped them win one, and then quit for some reason.

Buster Brown is back! He had the most awesome start in D1 but seemed to fail in the recruiting department. It will be interesting to see how he does at UNA.
