Considering the source I wonder in what context this statement was made(?) Witch Doctor say KNS been misquoting everyone associated with Tennessee last few weeks.

Is there anything more boring than a gifted athlete with the privilege of playing for a Division I bb program and receiving a free education, who waste his opportunties and chooses to be an effete thug?

I am a UT alum, and I love the University of Tennessee...but lets be honest, Knoxville isn't exactly the most exciting place in the world. If not for the University, the city would be pretty void of entertainment.

That said, I don't know of any place that is so boring that I would resort to hooliganism.

Yeah, there are a handfull of places that are truely in the middle of nowhere. Pullman, Wa. Lubbuck, TX. Any school in Wyoming or Montana...

K-Town, for a college student isn't so bad.

maybe it's just me or the fact I'm not from Knoxville..but I've never had nothing but a big time when visiting Kville..always been shown a good time. Maybe Tatum is just a boring guy himself.

I remember seeing that tweet from him and thinking that isn't really looking out for the University as far as recruiting, even if true. Also interesting is watching him cheer along the non-supspended teammates during the game last night on twitter:

Id say it was boring until they got arrested?
This team now is playing with alot of heart and this is what we have been missing out on for the past 2 years.
but I think if we need any of the 3 its Williams just because hes a bigger body incase Chism gets into foul trouble.

Knoxville may be boring but it isn't that far from Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg where something seems to always be going on.

Exactly. As a former student, Christmas break is brutally boring! Also, Knoxville, itself, is not exactly New York, Miami, or even Nashville in that matter!

It's obvious , the type of entertainment Tatum is looking for just dosen't exist around K'town. Hence the plan was to make his or their own. Most young people have a resonable plan for college life and of course this would include extracurricular activities. Those, I firmly believe, have their head and heart in the right place. Go figure on the our 4 all american basketball players/dope smokers.

from auburn you can visit fort benning ,how do you say knoxville is boring,i have been to every campus of every school in the sec except arkansas.atleast at knoxville the surrounding area is beautiful and with in a short driving distance you can go to a casino in cherokee,what have the other schools and campus,s have yea at south carolina and flordia you can go to a beach but in the winter it is cold at lsu you can go gamble at a casino or on a riverboat what im saying is all places are boring is all places are boring at some point or another,but knoxvill isnt any more boring than any other place in the country

I agree that Knoxville is not as exciting as the OK corral, but he, and his pistol will have to transfer to Tombstone, AZ if that's the kind of excitement he craves.
