I understand some House Republicans are saying that. I am wondering what the factual basis is for the claim. Also curious as to how much of the package will actually go to illegals. As opposed to just blaring and very misleading headlines on Drudge.

I don't know how much will go to illegals but I would say that if even one dollar of the "tax cuts" go to illegals then it is one dollar too much.

I believe the issue is that the plan calls for anyone having a tax ID being eligible for a tax rebate/credit. Apparently, illegals can and do have tax IDs eventhough they don't have SSNs or legal status in the country.

I also believe the plan has been changed to require an SSN.

judging my the amount of illegals i see here breaking the law and receiving govt benefits i would not be surprised if a very significant % of the low income and food credits went to illegal immigarnts. frankly i'd be shocked if a big % didn't. who do you think is out there making $10K a year anyway?
