Will be attending my first ever game at TBA Tuesday night and wonder if some of you regulars might be able to tell me how the view is from the upper deck? I'm in section 322, which is a little left of center, so that part is nice. The pic below is from a site that provides a virtual view from each section, but is this view from the upper seats a little generous? If the view from the upper deck is that good, I would never pay for a lower seat! I guess generally, I'm just wondering if the view from up there is good enough to follow the game well and recognize the different players & such. Anyway, thx for anyone's perspective on this.

I would say yes, a little generous. It's probably from the very front row of the upper deck. However, if you're near half court, like you are, the view is pretty solid from the upper deck.

I've always sat in the upper deck and always been able to see the court well. I thoroughly enjoy the upper deck.

You picked a heck of a first game to go to! Hope you enjoy yourself. Upper deck is no big deal in my opinion, unless you are jammed up in one of the corners. Lower rows of the upper deck around mid-court are actually pretty nice for a packed out game. Good luck!

I sat in section 102, and section 304.

I like the upper deck better. I can see more of the intricacies of the game better.

I can live with that, I was hoping to hear "there are no bad seats in TBA", but I know the vantage point is obviously better from a side view, so I think the seats will be good enough for us. I'll just look for the team dressed in orange and jump up and down when they do something good.

Thanks guys, and yep I agree it's a perfect first game. Last time I saw the Vols play bball was at Stokely and will never forget Mr. Ward walking right by us before the game started with his brief case.

I don't care where you sit a Richard will be complaining about sitting down and you're to loude. Bank it. I gave up. Not one game did I attend this year, first time in my life. Thompson boring arena..

There's not many seats in TBA if there are any, I like sitting in the first few rows of the uppers, but my favorite place to site is the tiny 200 section, they offer a great view.

I've attended 100s of Vol & Lady Vol BB games in Stokely & TBA & remember being asked to sit down ONE time & that was by a dumb young uninformed fan at a Lady Vol game who didn't understand that EVERYONE stands until we score & who wasn't smart enough to realize she was the only one sitting! I think you're overreacting...but, stay home...opens another seat up for a REAL Vol fan!

You think row 14 would be inside the zone of decency?

Those will be fine seats. I've sat everywhere from courtside to the top of the upper deck and haven't had any complaints. There's good and bad things with just about any section.

As others have stated. I love the upper deck. I like watching how things happen.

How much are the tickets running for the upper deck?

I got 2 in section 322 for $25/ea right after the game. At that time there were still 30 or so seats in section 321 for $10/ea. This was at Stubhub.

I was also seeing tkts on Craigslist (if you're comfortable to go that route) in the middle deck for $100/pair that included G4 parking near the arena.

TBA is too big for there to be no bad seats, but there all the way up in the corners and ends
