TCU FIRES HEAD COACH TRENT JOHNSON

Johnson confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Goodman that he has been fired after four seasons with the Horned Frogs. Johnson, 59, entered the season at 38-58 overall and a 6-48 mark in Big 12 play. The team was 12-21 this past season and 2-16 in conference.

The Frogs are expected to make a run at former TCU player Jamie Dixon. Wouldn't be too surprised if Frank Martin and Billy Clyde Gillispie are on the list too.

Gillispie's Ranger JC squd beat East Mississippi JC 83-63 at the NJCAA Champions yesterday. It's the first time in 47 years that Ranger has made it to Hutchinson, Ks.
