Boykin and some friends were at Pat O'Brien's ahead of Saturday's Alamo Bowl matchup against the Oregon Ducks when other patrons recognized him and "exchanged words," according to NBC affiliate WOAI in San Antonio.

Boykin reportedly became upset and started trying to punch them just before 2 a.m. After Boykin struck a bar employee, he and his friends were removed from the establishment, authorities said.

Ten bucks says the "other patrons" were aggys. SA is crawling with them...and illegals.

Charged with 3rd degree felony assault of a public service employee, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.

In Texas a third degree felony offense carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, and a $10,000 fine.

Bram Kolhausen is the likely starter he handled the comeback against Oklahoma. He's a senior who's likely been sitting in Boykins shadow for four years, so he knows the system and he's proven he can play in a big game. He just doesn't have a ton of game experience from what I can tell. Sawyer is a freshman QB that started against Oklahoma and didn't do all that well.

He has a clean record. He'll most likely work out a deal...plead to misdemeanor and serve probation on the felony count. Keep his nose clean and he'll walk away with only fines.

Doesn't help his draft stock much though.
